    Delicious vegan high calorie meal

TentMeals are now my go to dehydrated meal. High calorie proper meal size for low price, great choice of vegan offerings including this one, delicious content, little packaging after you’ve eaten it, and the bonus in summer particularly is that rehydration doesn’t need a stove. Save weight - I find three hours is enough to rehydrate in cold water. What’s not to love?

    Good but a faff

After trying and loving the breakfast I so wanted to love these. They task ok but it was a bit of a faff. I try to hike as light as possible so I use a titanium 650 mug for cooking and drinking. It does not have measure marks so I found myself trying to guess how much water to add. I also found that by the time it was ready to eat it was almost cold. Compared to summit to eat meals that are just open the packet fill to the, the packet keeps your food warm then I won't buy these again.

    Not the best experience

My review is solely about the meal and shouldn’t reflect on anyway towards the fabulous service I’ve always received from Basecampfood.com
I don’t know if I received a dodgy meal but it wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever eaten.
I used the directed amount of boiling water (400ml) and let it rest for ten minutes covered as per the instructions, what I had after the ten minutes was a very watery, tasteless mush at best.
Within half an hour of eating the curry, I was in urgent need to use the bathroom and was then in pain with stomach issues for the next 24 hours? I’m not allergic to any of the ingredients so it’ll remain one of life’s little mysteries???
It’s one experience I’ll definitely not be repeating anytime soon.
I might have been unlucky with my meal going by the 5* reviews but it’s a brand I’ll no longer use as I wouldn’t want to repeat such a negative experience.
Apologies for the negative feedback but it’s my honest humble opinion.

I am using your ration packs to provision my yacht.
I particularly like the variety of vegetarian/vegan options as whilst I will eat pretty much anything(!) , several members of my family are vegan.

    Fantastic veggie curry

Lightweight, high calorie, and most importantly actually really tasty. I love these and always have one or two in my pack when I go on a trip.
