Tasty, nutritious, plenty of calories, light and small, and good value.
Clean up was surprisingly easy. I bought this a little hesitantly as its cooked in a pot, not the bag, so would entail washing up. I saved it for a night on a campsite with washing up facilities but it would have been pretty easy without. I think that's because you're only soaking it, not cooking over a flame. The taste was good. I'd have preferred fewer coconut flakes.
Absolutely amazing to find delicious tasting, real consistency, properly cooked after the allotted time, well spiced, gluten free vegan trail food! I absolutely loved it! Nailed it with this one tentmeals! This almond jalfrazi rocked!
TentMeals are now my go to dehydrated meal. High calorie proper meal size for low price, great choice of vegan offerings including this one, delicious content, little packaging after you’ve eaten it, and the bonus in summer particularly is that rehydration doesn’t need a stove. Save weight - I find three hours is enough to rehydrate in cold water. What’s not to love?
After trying and loving the breakfast I so wanted to love these. They task ok but it was a bit of a faff. I try to hike as light as possible so I use a titanium 650 mug for cooking and drinking. It does not have measure marks so I found myself trying to guess how much water to add. I also found that by the time it was ready to eat it was almost cold. Compared to summit to eat meals that are just open the packet fill to the, the packet keeps your food warm then I won't buy these again.
