Very taisty meals.
My self and my son have tried several of Real Turmat meals and have never been disappointed, always look forward to our evening meal it's a treat.
You get what you pay for its like having a restaurant meal while out wild camping 🏕😜

Very good taste. Simple to rehydrate. Not heavy to carry. Quicker and lighter than boil-in-a-bag foods. I recommend this. Certainly better than my previous brands.

My wife and I are not spring chickens any more but decided to do a bit of wild camping in Scotland. We planned 2 nights at Peanmeanach Beach which is far enough away from roads to feel wild but not so far. Anyway we carried with us two lots of Real Turmat, the pulled Pork and Rice and the Creamy Salmon and Pasta. In amongst all of our kit we also managed to carry a bottle of Chilean Merlot to go with both meals. I have done quite a bit of wild camping in my younger days with groups of boys/men around Devon and Cornwall, the Lake District and Brecon Beacons and meal time was never really particularly memorable other then for the issues of cleaning up, accidental spillages... I just seem to remember the dried Vesta meals like Beef Risotto and Paella which we used to have to put up with and also trying Army rations. Whilst they might have been light and nourishing (Possibly) I can't remember them being tasty. Surprisingly you can still get them :) So probably unfair to compare these Turmat meals to them and I was a little dubious especially when I first opened one, but both the pulled pork and rice and the salmon and pasta meals were really very good and so easy to prepare and no cleaning up. You've read the instructions but really simple, open the pack at the top line, pour in the boiled water up to the desired level (you don't have to be particularly accurate) and stir a lot to make sure you have collected all of the dried food and mixed with the water, re-seal and leave for 8 mins and then open from the lower line and eat. Simples and delicious. The Chilean Merlot went down amazingly well with this as well. We were so stuffed after this that we couldn't manage the chocolate chip dried pudding we had taken with us on either night. Thoroughly recommend these meals. We have some more left we had taken in case we got some other nights for camping but the fabulous Scottish weather we had experienced until then finally turned and we decided not to do any further nights of wild camping but we still have the meals so we are ready for the next time.
