Well done to Base Camp Foods for not price gouging on adventure foods in the way that ‘survival’ and ‘prepper’ companies are doing right now (in light of fears arising from Russia aggression).
Despite eating freeze dried foods for forty years when on exercise (in the army), camping, fishing, mountaineering etc I have never particularly liked them. However, they have gotten a whole lot better recently and the Real Turmat is the best I have ever eaten (and with mind boggling variety). That doesn’t mean I would necessarily choose it over pie and chips and a pint of Guinness in a country pub I had stumbled across accidentally when lost (!), but if I have to carry food then freeze dried is by far the best option (due to the weight saving) and the Real Turmat is my new favourite.
