Inspired by French-Caribbean cooking, the Firepot Toasted Banana Porridge has become a favourite of their range. By home-ripening their bananas to ensure the flavour is incredible, then they caramelise the bananas in brown sugar before coating in freshly squeezed lime juice. Then with a mix of rye flakes and raw cacao nibs for extra crunch, they stir in with the bananas and organic porridge oats for a creamy finish that has a subtle edge.

I was attached to the mix of lime juice. Cao nibs and toasted banana, however after a very cold night on the hill, it really tasted a bit bland, not a great texture either, sorry fire pot not your finest

There's a lot of it when it's mixed
The verdict is very filling enough to keep you going all morning
It tastes good only a hint of banana and chocolate it's very thick texture
The only thing that let's it down is after waiting 8 minutes for the rehydration the porridge is going cold
