I found this meal to be exactly what I needed, after a long wet day. Boil the water, wait 8 minutes or so, and you're ready to tuck into a surprisingly tasty, fulfilling meal. Just the job.
Taste was quite good, but the lentils just would not get soft even after letting sit longer than directed. Next time would probably dump straight into pot on the propane burner and boil there.
I had this while wild camping and it was lovely! Good portion and very tasty. So easy to make up- just add boiling water.
I bought the dried food for my mother in a care home as she enjoys food with a bit of a bite. These were perfect. Easy to prepare and heat up in microwave. She loved them.
