Can be eaten cold but heating brings out the best flavours.  Heating options:

  • empty content into suitable pot and heat on your stove
  • place the foil pouch unopened into boiling water for 7-8 minutes then open and enjoy

Had so much hope

We got this for my son for his DofE silver, he wasn't impressed, he said the chicken is all in 1 big cube, no matter how much he mashed it down it wouldn't spread out. He was gutted as he found the flavour just wasn't right.

He loves the Mac and cheese, pasta Bolognese and all day breakfast.

Not wonderful

I've had lots of the Wayfarer meals over time and although I think they are tasty and convenient.
For me, the peri peri chicken is not a jewel in their crown. I thought the meal had a somewhat metallic tase and wasn't that spicey. Afterwards, it had more repeats than Friends series 1.
I'll continue to buy and to eat Wayfarer meals, but not that one.

Really nice but misses out on 5 stars as the usual issue of using too many beans to bulk out the dish and not enough chicken
