TORQ Hydration includes the full quota of 5 electrolytes in research-recommended volumes, plus 15g (60kcal) per serving of 2:1 maltodextrin(glucose): fructose carbohydrate. Compared to water alone, which is isotonic, the carbohydrate in TORQ Hydration creates a hypotonic solution. This activates the facilitated transport mechanism in the gut, alongside the passive transport mechanism. The result is that significantly more water is drawn into the bloodstream, hydrating you much faster.
