Description
The Polar Ranger sleeping bag was designed in partnership with renowned polar explorer Eric Larsen for use in some of the coldest environments on Earth. Previously recognised with Backpacker Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award, this lightweight, feature-rich sleeping bag has been further refined for demanding cold-weather conditions.
Box-baffled construction and highly compressible, PFC-free 800-fill hydrophobic down provide warmth, loft and packability. The hydrophobic down is designed to maintain its loft and insulating performance for longer, including during extended expedition use in Arctic conditions.
The ultralight shell and soft liner are made from PFAS-free, 100% recycled nylon, providing a lightweight and durable construction. A distinctive snorkel hood combines a magnetic closure with synthetic insulation to help retain warmth while directing exhaled moisture away from the sleeping bag, helping to preserve down loft.
Extensive, overstuffed draft tubes help minimise heat loss, while two side vents provide adjustable ventilation and allow the arms to be accessed without leaving the sleeping bag. Additional features include an insulated Toe-asis™ foot-warming pocket, interior stash pocket, external loops for attaching a quilt or blanket for additional warmth, and an anti-snag YKK® zipper.

- Full-Featured Snorkel Hood: A shorter, stiffer snorkel hood features condensation-resistant synthetic insulation to support easy breathing and ventilation of exhaled moisture. A magnetic closure helps reduce cross-drafts and makes entry and exit easier.
- Side Vents: Zipped side vents allow the arms to be used outside the sleeping bag and provide adjustable temperature control. Overlapping draft tubes help prevent cold spots when the vents are closed.
- Refined Fit: Additional width and precise down distribution provide improved thermal efficiency and comfort.
- Toe-asis™ Foot Warmer Pocket: A baffled, ergonomic and insulated pocket in the footbox helps concentrate warmth around cold feet.
- Additional Features: Includes a cinchable draft collar, YKK® anti-snag zipper, interior stash pocket, overstuffed draft tubes and external quilt loops.
