Nice, warm reindeer stew

No question at all .. it was very good on a cold Orkney hike. I'll definitely buy this again, as I will the Pulled Pork & Rice. Both needed more boiling water than suggested but the quality, packaging, weight and convenience were all excellent. Went well with a small shot of Whisky.

Gourmet dining on the trail

Delicious. I was blown away by the flavours of this meal. I paired it with a 250ml can of S African cab sauv/shiraz and it was a well-deserved treat up in the Scottish Highlands. It’s now my second favourite dehydrated meal behind the Real Turmat pulled pork and rice. Having shared experiences with hikers on the trail, most Real Turmat meals seem to be very highly regarded and I don’t think I’ll buy another brand from now on. Some people questioned the price of these meals but if you’re able to squeeze the budget to take these then why not have a little luxury following a long day’s walking. Love it.

The reindeer stew was great full of great taste and flavours. Nice big pieces of meat as well. Just what you need after a long cold day on the river
