Designed for use in both clear and dirty water conditions, the Katadyn Vario provides reliable water filtration across a variety of outdoor environments. The filter removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, and sediments, while the replaceable activated carbon granulate helps reduce chemicals and improve taste and odour.
The Katadyn Vario combines a cleanable ceramic dirt shield with glassfiber microbiological filtration to deliver effective performance with minimal pumping resistance. In “LONGER LIFE” mode, turbid water is first prefiltered through the ceramic disc, delivering an output of approximately 1L per minute. In “FASTER FLOW” mode, water is directed straight to the glassfiber membrane for increased flow rates of up to 2L per minute.
A dual piston mechanism ensures continuous water flow with minimal effort, while the rubber base provides a secure stand during use. The integrated bottle thread is compatible with wide-mouth Nalgene bottles for added convenience.
Filter capacity is up to 2,000 litres, depending on water quality.
