One of my top 5 meals

Really nice meal, portion size just right and goes well with a wrap 😋

Decent but lacking a bit of flavour and spice

Decent meal in the Summit To Eat range, chicken resembles actual chicken and rehydrates well, add a little more water than specified and leave about 10 min rather than the suggested 8.

Its an interesting mix of good quality ingredients, I wouldn't really say its very fajita like, though it would make a good burrito!

Lacking a bit in flavour and certainly needs plenty more spice, I'd rate this below Pasta Bolognese, Beef Stew and the excellent new spicey pasta arrabiata which is my current favourite of the Summit to Eat meals.

Summit to Eat Chicken Fajita with Rice 👍

Whilst the Beef Stew remains my favourite Summit to Eat meal the Chicken Fajita with Rice comes a close second.
I tend to add slightly more boiling water than advertised and leave it for 10 mins and I find the consistency is perfect - provided I’ve given it a good stir. Flavour is very good, spicy without being too aggressive, good amount in the standard pack meant I felt full and satisfied so no need for anything else. It wouldn’t win any awards for looks but this is a dehydrated meal & eaten out of the pouch it’s fine. My only grumble is that the oxygen preserver is a devil to find, normally hiding at the bottom of the pouch. A solid 9 out of 10 for me.

Top of the tree

My wife is coeliac, and so we buy gluten free food. She likes this one so much that we always have one around as a standby, not for camping. Perfect for when we drive to Spain, we know she has a tasty meal to hand, always. Very good.

Tastey

This is the second summit to eat I’ve tried, its my favourite so far, the chicken is a wee bit chewy but I kinda liked that, after a tough days walking with a full pack it hit the spot. I wasn’t expecting much from dehydrated meals to be honest and I’m super fussy, the good thing is there are no preservatives or bad stuff which makes me very happy.
