    We bought this to replace the handle that came with the pans. It is lighter, more compact and simple to use. Because it isn't actually fixed to the pan whilst cooking it doesn't get hot. It may seem a bit scary to have a handle that relies on hand pressure to keep a hold, but I haven't dropped a pan yet.
