Description

Sea to Summit Evac Compression Dry Bag HD... Maximise the space in your pack and keep everything moisture free with this lightweight waterproof compression sack.

Sea to Summit were the first company to introduce a compression dry bag into the market which does not use a purge valve. This innovation uses air permeable eVent® fabric on the base, which allows air to be pushed out of the sack, while stopping water getting in. This is a lighter, simpler and more reliable solution than a purge valve. The HD model is built using extra-tough 420D body fabric

Features:

  • Valve-free design with eVent® CORDURA® nylon base: compression for sleeping bags, clothing and other compressible gear.
  • Waterproof, highly-durable hypalon roll-top closure secured with our Field Repair Buckle.
  • Super-strong, abrasion and puncture-resistant 420D body fabric keeps contents dry and protected in extreme conditions
  • Strong and secure lash loops for attaching to kayaks, bikes, motorbikes and roof-racks.

Which size do I choose?

  • 5 Litres: Extra layers or a high-performance sleeping bag (such as the Spark -5°C) or a quilt (Ember -4°C)
  • 13 Litres: a mid-range three season sleeping bag
  • 20 Litres: a three-season synthetic sleeping bag plus a Reactor Liner
  • 35 Litres: a four-season down sleeping bag plus a Reactor Liner or a mid-range three to four season synthetic sleeping bag

Proper Use:

  1. Any roll-top dry sack must be closed properly to ensure water can’t get in. Begin by folding the Hypalon® strip down first and be sure to have at least three rolls before closing the buckle.
  2. Avoid contact with sharp objects or subjecting the sack to high abrasion, as this could compromise the waterproof fabric.
  3. Like all manufacturers of roll-top, fabric dry sacks, Sea to Summit recommends that sensitive electronic devices be ‘double bagged’ (i.e. putting electronics inside one dry sack then placing this inside a second dry sack). For maximum protection, the use of a waterproof hard case should be considered.
  4. Not intended for situations where dry sack will be submerged under water.
