Reasonable curry

The curry is OK, but I would not say it is outstanding. A good tasty meal with nice chunks of chicken with good texture in the meat and rice. The Turmat system for preparing this food works well, and is really convenient, great after a long day on the hills. We added sauerkraut (shredded pickled cabbage from a jar) directly into the bag to add some fibre to the meal and it worked very well, adding extra texture and flavour. The amount of food in the bag is OK, but it is not a big meal; yet after eating felt satisfied about the amount of food in the bag. I don't know if Turmat make a series of veg supplements that could be added to the bag, but that might be worth considering. If you like sauerkraut it works very well with this curry (and also with the chicken tikka masala meal, which is actually nicer tasting than the chicken curry). The Turmat meals are not cheap but are significantly better tasting than one of the other, cheaper, options bought from Base Camp Food; will certainly buy again, but maybe the chicken tikka masala in preference to the chicken curry.

Where's the curry flavour?!

Had high hopes of this one, given the reviews and price!

Only one issue.... It just doesn't taste anything like curry, was really surprised.

BUT.... these meals without a doubt rehydrate the best, hopefully the other two flavours I have will be better in taste.

Good Grub!

Light and simple prepare. I liked the fact it had a tear off strip half way down meaning no need for a long handle spoke. It doesn't look great but actually tasted great.
